Etsy Made Local 2015 – Selection Process Results

We are pleased to confirm that the selection process to determine sellers for the Portsmouth and Southsea Consortium’s Christmas market, part of Etsy Made Local, has now been completed, and results have now been made known to all eligible applicants.

We acknowledge that there was a significant delay in providing the results of this process and once again offer our apologies for any inconvenience and/or frustration this may have caused. As detailed in a previous update to the selection process, the major contributing factors to this were the existing personal and professional commitments of our selecting panel; understandably, these had to take precedence over what was, in essence, an act of goodwill.

We give our sincere thanks to our selection panel – their experience and expertise across a range of creative industries in and around Portsmouth and Southsea contributed to a diligent and democratic process that did not compromise, and whose results are considered appropriate and fair. Many remarked that they were often faced with difficult choices during their consideration of applications received, and praised the enterprising spirit and entrepreneurship of everyone who had the courage, and put in the effort and time, to work for themselves, whether it be full- or part-time.

We are proud to have received applications to participate in Etsy Made Local from a significant number of members of the Consortium’s Etsy team, and have been witness to an incredible range of disciplines and outputs that have really demonstrated what a creative, original and skilled city we can be. We would like to thank everyone who applied for the time and effort they took to do so, and to those who got in contact but chose to not apply for their expressions of interest.

We will share real time information on this event as well as snippets of our preparations for it using the hashtags #PortsConsortXmas and #EtsyMadeLocal, so make sure to follow us on Instagram and Twitter if you’re not already doing so.

The Consortium’s Etsy Made Local market will be proudly hosted by aspex, Gunwharf Quays, Portsmouth, on Saturday 05 and Sunday 06 December 2015.
